How we are helping to change the world for the better

At TBL Plc we pride ourselves on being a company that brews high-quality beer from the best possible natural ingredients, which are locally sourced and hence provide sustainable job opportunities across the value and supply chains.

Embedding sustainability, social impact in our communities and good governance is not only good for our business, it’s the foundation of our company and our purpose, which seeks to create a future with more cheers.

SMART AGRICULTURE

Farmers are at the heart of sustainable agriculture. Building resilience through regenerative practices is crucial for the future of farming and the environment. We rely on high-quality crops from thriving communities and healthy ecosystems to brew our beers, which is why we are deeply committed to the well-being of our farmer communities.

At Tanzania Breweries Plc, we support both commercial and for the emerging farmers by providing access to agronomic information, industry best practices, and the latest research in crop varieties. We harness the power of technology to enhance crop yields and productivity, ensuring our farmers can grow more efficiently and sustainably.

While we strive to remain competitive and improve our resource efficiency, our success is intertwined with the success of our local farming communities. We work closely with emerging farmers to boost their productivity, enabling them to support their families and contribute to food security for future generations.

Our industry depends on a reliable value chain, and we have long been committed to creating real sustainability with minimal impact. We’re proud of the strong relationships we’ve built with Tanzanian farmers in barley, sorghum and grapes who supply the highest quality ingredients using smart agricultural practices. These practices ensure that both the land and the people who farm it are cared for.
