Tanzania Breweries Public Limited Company (TBL Plc) was incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania under the Companies Act as a limited liability company. The company is listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange and has a controlling interest in Tanzania Distilleries Limited, Darbrew and Kibo Breweries Limited, domiciled in the United Republic of Tanzania.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The company's Board of Directors consists of nine members and meets quarterly. Only the Managing Director and Finance Director BUSE hold executive positions in the company. The board has overall responsibility for the company, including identifying key risk areas, considering and monitoring investment decisions, considering significant financial matters, and evaluating the performance of management's business plans and budgets. Additionally, the board is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive, operational system of internal control, policies, and procedures, and compliance with sound corporate governance practices.
The Managing Director assisted by senior management is delegated to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. It is the responsibility of the senior management to attend board meetings and facilitate the effective control of all the company's operational activities, acting as a medium of communication and coordination between the various business units.
